When adding to older deposits, keep the date of said deposit

When in the RECORD DEPOSITS screen, if you are depositing several items on a previous date, and put that date in, it keeps changing to todays date instead of holding the date you enter. This has been happening since the last update. Is there a way to revert it to the old method?
